Little annoying that it didn’t come with a battery, but that’s a minor issue. The battery is a common one, so we had one here, and I have to say that I’m very impressed with this, for the price paid.

This is an absolutely fantastic item for the price paid. I put a battery in and it worked right away. It is easy to use, very well made and good quality. I would consider the thermometer reading accurate as it agrees with both a mercury thermometer and a max/min digital one I have. It reads to one decimal place. I’d highly recommend and will buy another.

I just don’t understand why this item couldn’t be shipped with batteries. It’s rare to keep such a special battery at home, and you can only buy it in packs of 10.

Yet to use but looks good enough. Not as nice as our old one, but that was coming unglued anyway. Popped a battery in and it seems to be working fine. Difficult to get the battery compartment back off at first, but that’s not too bad.
